FAQS

How far in advance should I schedule the transport of my vehicle?

We recommend scheduling your vehicle transport as early as possible to ensure it is moved within the timeframe that best aligns with your schedule.  Typically, a truck can be assigned and dispatched for pick-up within 1 to 5 days from the date your vehicle becomes available. If your vehicle is ready for immediate pick-up, we will make every effort to coordinate transportation as close to your preferred date as possible.  While submitting your transport order approximately five days in advance is helpful, it is not always required. *Pick-up dates and delivery dates are not guaranteed. Guaranteed and immediate pick-ups are available at an additional cost.

Where will my vehicle be picked up and delivered?

Our door-to-door service is designed for your convenience.  Whenever possible, your vehicle will be picked up and delivered directly at your home or the closest accessible location.
In certain cases, due to the large size of transport carriers and local restrictions such as narrow streets, low bridges, overhanging branches, or power lines, we may ask that you meet the driver at a nearby, mutually convenient location—for example, a shopping center or large parking lot.
This approach ensures a safe, efficient, and smooth loading and delivery process while maintaining the highest standards of care for your vehicle.

How do I place my order?

Online / Email: After receiving your email or verbal quote, review and sign the Contract Terms & Conditions.   Then, submit the signed documents along with your quote via email to sales@ReliantAutoTransport.com.

We strive to make the ordering process quick, simple, and convenient for every customer.

How much will it cost to ship my vehicle?

The cost of transporting your vehicle depends on several key factors — including the pick-up and delivery locationsvehicle size, and the level of service you select.  Each of these elements plays an important role in determining your transport quote.
For example:
Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, TX – Approximately 1,500 miles
Long Island, NY to Dallas, TX – Approximately 1,500 miles
Even though both routes cover nearly the same distance, shipping from New York to Texas typically costs more due to route demand, tolls, and regional factors.
While we make every effort to dispatch your vehicle promptly, there are rare instances when a delay may occur.  In such cases, our friendly and knowledgeable team will work closely with you to review your options and ensure your transport is scheduled as soon as possible.

How long does it take to transport a vehicle?

Several key factors determine how long it will take to transport your vehicle from pick-up to delivery.  While every shipment is unique, understanding these factors can help you better plan and set expectations for your transport timeline.
Distance Between Pick-Up and Delivery Locations
The most significant factor is the distance between your vehicle’s origin and destination.  Naturally, the farther your vehicle needs to travel, the longer the transit time. For example, a short local transport may take just a day or two, while cross-country shipments can take seven to ten days, depending on route and traffic conditions.
Type and Size of the Transport Truck
The type of carrier used also plays a major role in delivery time.  Open carriers—typically capable of hauling 3 to 10 vehicles—are the most common and may have multiple scheduled stops along their routes.  Enclosed carriers, which usually transport fewer vehicles (often 2 to 6), may offer more direct routes and slightly faster delivery, while providing additional protection for high-end or specialty vehicles.
Number of Scheduled Stops
Each driver has a designated route with several pick-up and delivery points along the way.  The total number of these stops can impact how quickly your vehicle arrives.  Fewer stops often mean faster delivery, while routes with multiple scheduled loads may take a bit longer as the driver accommodates each customer’s timeline.
At Reliant Auto Transport Inc, we work hard to provide accurate timing estimates and keep you updated throughout the process.  Our goal is to make your vehicle transport experience smooth, transparent, and stress-free.

What is the difference between an Open Carrier vs. Enclosed Carrier?

When choosing how to ship your vehicle, it’s important to understand the difference between open and enclosed carriers.  Each option offers distinct benefits depending on your vehicle type, budget, and protection preferences.
Open Carrier Transport.
An open carrier is the most common and cost-effective method of vehicle transport.  These are similar to the large car carriers often seen delivering new vehicles to dealerships.  Vehicles transported on open carriers are exposed to outdoor elements, such as weather and road debris.  Depending on the equipment used, open carriers can typically accommodate between 3 and 10 vehicles per load.
Enclosed Carrier Transport
An enclosed carrier provides a higher level of protection by transporting vehicles inside a fully covered trailer.  This method shields your vehicle from inclement weather, dust, and road debris, ensuring maximum protection during transit.  Enclosed carriers generally transport 2 to 6 vehicles per load, depending on the trailer size and configuration.
Enclosed transport is highly recommended for luxury, exotic, vintage, custom, or show vehicles, as well as those featuring aftermarket upgrades such as high-end sound systems or specialty accessories.
